Skills Challenge Weekend 09
Bowley Scout Camp

The first annual District Skills Challenge weekend took place @ Bowley 27th / 28th June 2009.
A great weekend was had by 30 Scouts and 11 leaders and 7 Explorer Scouts and Young Leaders.

The Saturday was a series of bases where scouts learned many skills and completed many Challenges.

Everyone who took part received the District Skills Challenge Pennant in my eyes you are all winners. A big thank you goes to all Scouts that attended as well as a huge thanks to the leaders for your support and help.

Everyone had a truly excellent weekend and the weekend was a roaring success . . Scouts already asking when the next event will be!

Scout Challenge Weekend

 

Dear Scouts,

This year we are launching a brand new event – Scout Challenge Weekend, to be held @ Bowley Scout Camp on 13th & 14th June 2009 and is open to all Scouts aged 10.5 - 14. It would be fantastic if we can get all of our District together for this Fun and challenging weekend.
We are also looking for a badge design for the weekend (see next page).

The weekend is designed as a residential where all the district will camp together in your Patrols / Troops. You will need to bring your own food, tentage, camp equipment and personnal kit.
The cost for the event is £10 per Scout (which includes camp fees, Activities, badges and trophies) The only additional cost will be your food. Please arrive at 9:00am for registration on Saturday 13th June and arrange to be collected at 4pm on Sunday 14th.
The format for the 2 days will be a series of skills and challenges laid on by the district, a campfire and wide game in the evening followed by the BIG Challenge competition on day 2 and will be based around Patrol teams.

If you wish to attend please complete the form below and hand it to your Scout Leader who will forward your form to myself.
